Food was basic and a bit cold! I dont understand how they can charge so much for satisfactory food. Value for money is poor!

Had to wait for ages for them to take the food off the table. Actually to correct that THEY DIDN'T TAKE IT AT ALL. Coffee was terrible. corish pastys tasted alright but wouldn't have it again. This cafe has so much to offer and would do better if it wasn't in such a dull isolated location
Really sorry but not a good experience. The coffee wasn't good and arrived luke warm, ditto the hot chocolate - and the toast arrived burnt. The service was totally lacking in smiles - very surly!! When the waitress spilt the hot chocolate at our table, she was totally nonchalant about it. And worse, when she obtained cloths to mop it up, she dumped them on the table in the expectation that we should do it!!
Since it underwent the renovation it's improved drastically! It's spacious with lots of natural light making it really comfortable to sit and have some food or a coffee, both of which are always of very good quality, and it still has that Summer cafe feel to make you cosy and happy to be there. Staff are very friendly, hard working and helpful, everything is cooked and prepared well, and the salad boxes are fantastic. Definitely recommend
