Great food and atmosphere. The rib eye was fantastic and the puddings were perfect. Highly recommend staying at the hotel too!
Spent 3nights at the 'Rectory' to celebrate my wife's birthday. Had a wonderful time. Charlotte, Maggie and Izzy greet you like an old friend, so we instantly feel at ease, Michael and Emma pamper us in the bar, while Tom and young Sam see to our every need at dinner. As for the garden and surrounding area, heaven!Anthony
We have just stayed at the Rectory hotel for a family Birthday weekend. Our party was 26 people and the hotel made areas available for just our party. Part of our group had a self-catering cottage in the grounds of the hotel which overlooks a Croquet lawn. The rooms were very nice with nice touches such as fresh milk and a DAB radio. The hotel is in a beautiful building, typical of the Cotswold's and it sits in lovely grounds with plenty of parking. The staff could not have been more helpful and whole atmosphere was very friendly and relaxed. On the first evening, our party met in the Potting Shed pub, owned by the same people and located just over the road to the hotel. Again, the welcome could not have been better and the food was excellent. On the night of the birthday party itself, we had the large conservatory to ourselves and were served with a fantastic meal which was without fault. We also had our own breakfast area and the excellent cooked breakfasts were cooked to order. The hotel also has a comprehensively stocked bar that will knock up any cocktail you ask for. The hoteltel is close to many Cotswold towns including the market town of Cirencester which apart from the history, is a great place for indoor and outdoor markets and for the antique hunter. Overall, I cannot fault the experience we had at the Rectory and will definitely be staying again.
Fantastic historic hotel with nicely appointed rooms, a great dining room, lovely bar and gardens. Also has an outdoor pool. Staff friendly and helpful. Well worth a visit.
Had a really nice few days. Staff were friendly and so helpful. One of the better hotels we have stayed in although the climb up stairs to our bedroom kept us fit. The only down side was the lack of wardrobe space but we managed. Enjoyed the cocktails
